Customers to benefit from ERP evolution

The benefits will include improvements in procedures for ordering, payments and sourcing information. A new customer portal is also under development for 2019 – all part of Södra’s strategy to be proactive in achieving better solutions for customers.

The ERP is designed to link to Electronic Data Integration (EDI) system which is used, based on local protocols for invoicing and payments. “We seek to be proactive in helping customers thanks to our knowledge of EDI,” said Södra Wood’s head of IT Fredrik Kinder. “They will gain from being able to carry out more tasks automatically and should see benefits in terms of the control and efficiency of their procedures.”

Customers will also be able to transact with Södra via the new customer portal to see order status, place orders, get information and news and CAR handling.
