Check: Värö ticks all the boxes

Södra Cell Värö shut for a scheduled two-week maintenance break last month and is now fully operational again. Production Manager Magnus Johansson explains: “We shut the mill every two years for a full maintenance check like this one, and then every other year we shut for 5-7 days. These breaks are essential to ensure that all our equipment is in perfect working order and perfectly safe. We installed a new fuel gas pipe in the recovery boiler but everything else was routine and all went smoothly.”

The mill would have produced about 32,000 tonnes during this period under normal operating conditions.
