The event was organized in response to Melitta’s request for a supplier audit which it conducts approximately every five years. It proved to be an opportunity to exchange ideas on the latest in environmental technology as well as a chance to enhance understanding of each other’s businesses.

Presentations from both Södra and Melitta were followed by a tour of the mill and discussions on everything from traceability and the supply chain to eenvironmental targets. Before returning to Germany, the Melitta team visited one of Södra’s forest estates to see sustainable forestry in action.

Next year Södra and Melitta will be celebrating 25 years of working together.
