Our Liquid Forest products can replace fossil-based raw materials used in the production of a number of commodities such as fuels, chemicals or cosmetics. Replacing fossil-based materials with our bioproducts can help processes and end products to attain various environmental certifications. The end product is identical, but the manufacturing process achieves a significantly higher standard of sustainability.

Refuelling the hopes for a better future
The fossil-based fuels and chemicals of today will not be part of a sustainable future. But can bio-based alternatives solve the equation? Yes, we think so. Our Liquid Forest Biomethanol is a good example. Biomethanol is an important additive in many products - and a fuel for the future. That’s why we have made major investments in renewable biomethanol from forest raw materials - and we are producing larger volumes than anyone has managed before. It’s liquid Swedish forest, providing fuel for a brighter outlook.

Although the paint in the buckets is exactly the same, there is an important difference. The one on the right is actually green, as it contains Liquid Forest Tall Oil from Södra. Our tall oil is completely renewable and comes from sustainable forestry. In many products, particularly in the chemical industry, tall oil is the climate-smart substitute for fossil-based substances. It’s the Swedish forest, in liquid form.
