The Södra Foundation
Since its establishment in 1995, the Foundation has received SEK 300 million in contributions and awarded SEK 245 million in grants. These grants have resulted in successful projects in a number of fields related to the bioenconomy, including new opportunities for fossil-free products.
Stable funding for long-term research in the forest industry paves the way not only for future forestry but also for new, climate-smart products, sustainable production and employment opportunities.
The Foundation holds two decision-making meetings per year, during which grant applications are considered. The Foundation provides approximately SEK 10 million in grants to various projects each year.
The Board of the Södra Foundation for Research, Development and Education comprises Catrin Gustavsson (Södra), Charlotte Bengtsson (The Forestry Research Institute of Sweden), Ann-Charlotte Larsson (Linnaeus University), Gustav Tibblin (Södra) and Göran Örlander (Södra).
The next meeting will be held on November 29, 2021 and applications must be received not later than November 1, 2021.
