Södra continues to be among the very best one percent of sustainability businesses, according to the independent research company EcoVadis. The annual survey shows that for 2024, for the fifth year in a row, Södra is ranked at the top among more than 100,000 evaluated companies in over 200 sectors and 175 countries.

EcoVadis' evaluation examines four main areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. With an overall score of 80 out of 100, Södra has its highest ranking to date and a Platinum Medal.

The strengths highlighted in the area Environment are linked, among other things, to the reporting within Södra's Science Based Targets initiative. In addition, the work on Södra's business ethics programme has led to a higher grade in the area Ethics.

"It's very positive that we receive such high marks for our sustainability work in an independent survey, and it feels very good that several areas that we highlight in our strategy, including the environment, receive high values," says Jessica Nordin, Head of Sustainability at Södra.

"We have high ambitions with our sustainability work, and EcoVadis' platinum rating is proof that we are on the right track and that customers can feel confident in this," says Henrik Wettergren, Vice President at Södra Cell.
