CLT and glulam can be used advantageously together and with other materials such as steel and concrete in a hybrid frame. Wood creates great value in reducing the building's overall climate impact. To create the most sustainable, cost-effective and functional frame possible, it is important to have the right material in the right place.

A building's climate impact can be reduced with a wooden frame. Wood has a lower climate impact compared to traditional fossil-based building materials such as concrete and steel. A great characteristic of wood is that it stores carbon dioxide throughout its lifetime. It is also a light material, which means reduced transport and therefore lower emissions. The production of wood products is also more energy efficient.
